We're gathering to discuss the recent news of the Mars Plant phasing out operations, the impact of it closing and potential next steps we can take.

The Agenda:

1) Explain what the 17-acre site contains;

2) Discuss development proposal process, with the entire city (the definition of community, not just Galewood) submitting proposals;

3) The possibility/process of landmarking with a guest from the Preservation Chicago, an advocacy group with experience in this type of situation; and

4) Positive ideas from fellow Galewood Neighbors (not negatives or complaints).
